I soak my thirsty nude body, and it’s a momentary thrill
I lose the shadows that are going mad, torn to pieces in this room
Drifting in the silent tedium, I leave behind footprints
When I stretch my arms out at midnight, the night sky is wildly transformed
For as long as I remember, the loneliness that is setting off on a journey and knowing…
The mirror cannot be broken while, on a starry night, you dance with a demon
“It’s as if the crazy dream* won’t awake…” From the moon, fleeting tears
The never-ending rain beats down the moist shiseria+
A faint premonition glows**, crumbling in this room
“Beautiful.” I can inhale the disolving memories that are are filling me.
The cruel word I hid in the spreading dark night beyond
When I stepped forward from this place, for the first time I understand freedom
In my heart is the last easy choice that I entrust to another
The violently burning outcry is the soul and body’s dance.
Even if the solitary light*** disappears again, what’s real is unchanged
I choke down the nourishment that can erase my solitude under the moonlight
When I stretch my arms out at midnight, the night sky is wildly transformed
For as long as I remember, the loneliness that is setting off on a journey and knowing…
In my heart is the last easy choice that I entrust to another
“It’s as if the crazy dream won’t awake…” From the moon, fleeting tears
*妄想 mousou - means wild idea or delusion, is sung as ‘yume’ (dream), so I kind of combined the two.
+ シセリア shiseria – I have no idea what this word is. I checked about 3 online dictionaries in addition to my paper one, and I could not find it anywhere.
**灯す tomosu – translated in both dictionaries as I checked listed it as ‘to turn on’ or to ‘light’. I couldn’t think of a better way to phrase this sentence in English than what I have here… that whole line gave me trouble like you wouldn’t believe, actually.
++肉体 nikutai – translates as the flesh, sung as ‘karada’ (body)
In the line I translated as “In my heart is the last easy choice that I entrust to another”, the word used is ‘mune’ (chest or breast), but using heart sounds better in English.
***光 hikari – translates as light, but is sung as hi, as in fire.
