How am I supposed to know where the world of tomorrow is?
I lived without power, glaring at the fist
So, without stumbling, swimming intently,
Every day I searched desperately for a goodbye.

Hasten spring, the wind’s colors can always torment me.

Without being misled, I want nothing more than to walk this road*
The people are all crying out, but the fight won’t stop,
Because they want to see tomorrow.

Longing for the thing I dreamed is so strong that it won’t be forgotten
If it’s in you, I want you to surpass good faith.**

Speak of love, the flower’s colors always disarm me.

Without being misled, I want nothing more than to walk this road
The people are all crying out, but the fight won’t stop,
Because they want to see tomorrow.

The map of the future that the stars draw can always lead me astray.

Without going back, I stood facing the wind and cried.
I begin to walk and my steps glimmer and shine.***

Without being misled, I want nothing more than to walk this road
The people are all crying out, but the fight won’t stop,
Bravely, sadly, this town is also washed away
Because they want to see tomorrow.

Notes:
*This is strange. There’s kanji here that translates as ‘life’ but is
pronounced as ‘michi’ (road). I think it’s a sort of pun or wordplay.
It could be translated as ‘to be bound for this life’ but ‘to walk this
road’ sounds better in English.
**Pretty sure I have this line wrong. I have only a vague idea of what
he’s trying to say.
***Because it sounds better than the literal translation, which would be
‘my steps are full of sparkles’.
